Works to be carried out are as follows:
- Removal of staff beads
- Removal of bottom sash
- Removal of parting beads
- Removal of top sash
- Removal of sash cords and weights
Your sash window will then be inspected for signs of rot, any minor rot will be routed out. The area will then be treated and filled using 2 part epoxy resin fillers.
Your sashes will then be sanded, this is to eliminate paint build up and ease mobility. Any swollen timber will then be planed if required.
All bare timber will be protected with a primer and left ready for painting.
We will then inspect your box frame for rot, any minor rot will be routed out. The area will then be treated and filled using the same procedure carried out on your sashes.
Your box frame will then be sanded, this is to ease mobility of your sashes once reassembled.
All pulleys will be checked and lubricated to ensure they are working correctly.
Your windows will then be weighed, this is to ensure they are balanced correctly. Make up weights will be added if necessary.
Your box frame will then be re-roped and weights reinstalled.
We will then reassemble your window, re-hang your sashes,and re-new all beading as we go.
